Reflecting the diversity of Miami on stage

Our performances are grounded in equity, inclusion, access, and excellence—showcasing the talent and cultural richness of our community. Through special programming, we also provide students with free access to select performances so they can experience live artistry and feel inspired by what’s possible.

Nutcracker Image

Nutcracker

Our annual production of The Nutcracker brings together students from across ADT programs to perform alongside professional guest artists, in collaboration with New World School of the Arts. Presented at the Fillmore Miami Beach, this full-length production features original sets and is the longest-running Nutcracker in Miami—showcasing classical ballet training while creating unforgettable performance opportunities for our dancers.

Rhythms of Spring

Rhythms of Spring is ADT’s annual Spring Concert. The performance highlights student growth across the year, featuring original choreography across multiple genres. Commissioned works are showcased and often premiered during this performance, with past pieces including Battlefield and The Hunt by Robert Battle and Parsons Etude by David Parsons. Performed at New World School of the Arts, the concert brings together intermediate and advanced students alongside alumni now dancing professionally around the world.

Seeds of Our Future

Seeds of Our Future centers the voices and talents of our contemporary students, highlighting their artistic journeys through performance. The program often features student choreography alongside commissioned works and faculty pieces and may include dancers from our community programs studying contemporary dance. The performance takes place at Sanctuary of the Arts.

Fiesta Flamenca centers the voices and talents of our flamenco students, celebrating their artistic growth and cultural expression through performance. The program features student choreography alongside commissioned works and faculty pieces, and may include dancers from our community programs studying flamenco. The performance takes place at Sanctuary of the Arts.

Roots: An Interactive Ballet Demonstration

Roots: An Interactive Ballet Demonstration is an end-of-year performance for Academy students in elementary-level ballet and above. Presented in a lecture-demonstration format, it offers a short and engaging opportunity for students to practice being on stage and perform for a live audience. The performance takes place at Sanctuary of the Arts.

Heartbeats: The Pulse of Dance

Heartbeats: The Pulse of Dance centers the talent and artistry of our tap and hip hop students, celebrating their artistic growth through rhythm, musicality, and performance. The program features original pieces and may include dancers from our community programs studying tap and hip hop. The performance takes place at Sanctuary of the Arts.

Rotating Community Performances

ADT’s community performances bring dance into the heart of Miami-Dade through partnerships, events, and diverse venues. From the Bandshell and Pinecrest Gardens to the Betty T. Ferguson Center, students perform alongside partners like Miami Children’s Chorus, IMAGO and the Mexican American Council, expanding access and deepening community connection through dance.
